Hi, I'm Zo Salena and I am obsessed with this compact.
0:09
Usually, women, especially boss ladies lately, you're always on the go and our bags are getting sometimes bigger or smaller and it becomes very difficult for you to carry makeup in case you want to do like a little checkup really quickly after dinner or before a meeting.
0:24
And by having a small, tiny compact that fits anywhere, you're able to use it as your little saving grace.
0:33
This is by a brand, an accessory designer, called J. Strongwater.
0:36
And I learned this from a very special woman like 25 years ago as I was like starting out in the industry.
0:42
And she, she gave me a compact like this of J. Strongwater and I still to this day, I have it.
0:54
I've never forgotten what that meant to me and knowing like how much it saved my butt in environments or at events or situations where I just needed a little checkup and I had my little compact with me.
1:06
So I just, I've been always a fan of when women um pass things down, knowledge or advice or tips to younger women that are up and coming.
1:15
It just goes a long way.
1:17
So now I know that it's my turn to pay it forward.
1:20
So that's what I've been doing.
1:21
I've been giving a lot of my girlfriends and business partners uh little compacts and men too.
1:25
So men, it's not a bad thing if a very elegant and awesome and confident man were to whip out a compact.
1:32
I wouldn't judge.
1:32
If I left the house without a compact, I would be a little irritated because that means that I have to resort to the old school way of like checking yourself with like your knife at the dinner table or getting up repeatedly to go to the bathroom after you've had spinach.
1:52
Whereas if I have a compact in the middle of a conversation without drawing too much attention, I, you know, I reach into my little clutch and I get my compact and I check myself and and all of a sudden that becomes an item that people are really drawn to.
2:07
And don't you hate misplacing things 'cause you feel like your mind is slipping?
2:07
But I, I come from a family that are true believers that if you lose something is because it wasn't meant to be in your possession anymore, so just let it go and don't hang on to things so much.
2:17
But then that means I, I, I get to go and shop for a new one.
