Hi, I'm Maddie Ziggler, and this is the Wired Autocomplete Interview.
0:05
This is so weird.
0:05
I've like watched these videos, so now like holding it in person is really funny.
0:13
What is Maddie Ziggler's job?
0:13
I am a dancer and an actor and a few other things in between.
0:21
What brand does Maddie Ziggler own?
0:26
I don't own a brand.
0:26
I'm like trying to think, no, I don't own a brand, but not for long.
0:31
No, I'm just kidding.
0:31
I don't, hopefully I'll own a brand in the future.
0:35
What is Maddie Ziggler's signature move?
0:40
I feel like it's changed throughout the years.
0:40
I think when I was younger, I did this switch leap, which I feel like if anyone has seen it on the show that I was on growing up.
0:47
But I think what became more signature was when I like pulled my eye in the Chandelier dance.
0:52
I did like a thing like that in behind the curtain.
0:57
I feel like that was like a signature thing.
0:58
What makes Maddie Ziggler unique in the Dance World?
1:00
My emotion and the way that I have used characters in my different dance pieces is what made me stand out to Sia and why I got that job in the first place.
1:17
Who was Maddie Ziggler and Pretty Little Liars?
1:17
Oh my gosh, that is such a flashback.
1:17
I don't even know if I had a character name.
1:17
I was like a ghost or a spirit or something.
1:17
That was truly at the time one of the best days of my life because I was such a Pretty Little Liars fan.
1:17
What has Maddie Ziggler been in?
1:17
I would say more recently you would know me for maybe a film called The Fallout that I did, or I have a new film coming out called Fitting In, Westside Story.
1:17
What is Maddie Ziggler's favorite song?
1:17
That's like asking a mom to pick her favorite child.
1:17
I feel like I don't know, I don't know if you can do that.
1:17
I feel like a song that's on heavy rotation is Sweet Thing by Mary J. Blige.
1:17
She didn't originate the song, I don't think, but I think it's her cover.
1:17
Maddie Ziggler, Velma dancing.
1:17
I played Velma in Westside Story and we got to perform the iconic dance at the gym scene from the original film, and it was such an incredible moment.
2:15
It was obviously directed by Steven Spielberg and it was choreographed by Justin Peck, and I was so lucky to work with both of them.
2:24
I think six or seven days to film just that one dance scene.
2:24
It was a huge production.
2:24
What makeup does Maddie Ziggler?
2:24
I'm scared where this is going.
2:24
Use.
2:24
Oh, I use so many different brands of makeup.
2:24
I think there's so many different amazing products for different things.
2:24
I think Charlotte Tilbury is great, Saie Beauty is great, Hourglass.
2:24
I have a bunch of different favorites for sure.
2:24
What is Maddie Ziggler's zodiac sign?
2:24
I'm a Libra.
2:24
I'm like not super into signs, but when people who are and they know that I'm a Libra, they're like, that makes so much sense.
2:57
Traits of a Libra are just like super go with the flow, pretty calm, indecisive, which I'm all those things.
3:07
When did Maddie Ziggler start dancing?
3:07
I started dancing when I was two years old and I started competitively dancing when I was four, so real early.
3:07
When was Maddie Ziggler on Dancing With the Stars?
3:07
That was weird.
3:07
I did not know that was going to happen.
3:07
I performed on Dancing With the Stars a few times.
3:07
I did a performance with Sia and Alison Holker, who's an incredible dancer, and then I think I performed with Josh Groban on there.
3:07
And then I also did a performance with my sister when she was on Dancing With the Stars Juniors.
3:35
I did a little guest trio performance and it was so much fun.
3:39
Oh, I also did another performance with Alan and Alexa's friend.
3:45
All of the pro dancers on the show are incredible.
3:45
I think Val and Jenna, they're a married couple and they're absolutely incredible.
3:45
I would love to train with both of them.
3:45
Is Maddie Ziggler on Masked Dancer?
3:45
Wrong Ziggler.
3:45
My sister was, but I wasn't.
3:45
Does Maddie Ziggler like Jenna Ortega?
3:45
I love Jenna Ortega.
4:06
She's one of my greatest friends and she's a little angel and I adore her.
4:11
I adore working with her, but I also just adore our friendship and I think it's really special.
4:17
Did Maddie Ziggler perform at Coachella?
4:20
I did.
4:20
I recently performed at Coachella this year with Labyrinth and Sia and it was such a fun experience.
4:27
It's so crazy for how many times I've performed, I actually get nervous every time before I go on stage, but I think it's more excitement nerves.
4:58
It's that adrenaline rush.
5:01
It's just that feeling of like the anticipation of going on stage, but the second I hit the stage, I'm so comfortable.
5:01
Does Maddie Ziggler have tattoos?
5:01
I do.
5:04
I have a lot of little tattoos.
5:04
I think I have about seven.
5:04
They're all really small because I wanted to make sure that for acting purposes that it would be easier to cover, because it's not fun to have to sit in that makeup chair a lot longer to get a bunch of tattoos covered up.
5:04
But also, I love the look of dainty ones.
5:04
And shout out to Dr. Woo because he's done all my tattoos and I love him.
5:04
Because I'm indecisive, I didn't want to do anything that I knew I would regret later in life and I know a lot of people do end up regretting a lot of their tattoos.
5:14
So I make sure that all of my tattoos are really like personal and sentimental.
5:17
So the first tattoo I got was my grandma who passed away.
5:19
I got her name in cursive and it's also my sister's middle name, so it's like a double meaning.
5:24
Maddie Ziggler, bloody hell.
5:32
So bloody hell is the original title name of a film that I did that premiered at South by Southwest, and now it is called Fitting In, which will be premiering next year in theaters, which is so exciting.
5:30
I adore the film and put so much of my heart into it, and I can't wait for people to see it.
5:44
Thank you.
5:44
How did Maddie Ziggler become famous?
5:49
I guess on a reality show when I was seven years old.
5:57
It's so weird cuz I hate saying that I'm famous.
5:57
I think it's just like a really weird concept for me.
5:57
So yeah, but I guess that's how I got my start.
5:57
How many turns can Maddie Ziggler do?
5:57
It depends, because regularly, I think I've been able to do probably like 10 turns, but when you wear a tap shoe, you can actually do more turns.
6:20
So I maybe, I don't know, probably 18 like consecutive pure wets.
6:22
I can turn for hours.
6:25
How many siblings does Maddie Ziggler have?
6:29
There's lots of those.
6:29
My sister and I are the only blood, and then there's seven other ones.
6:34
How many crowns does Maddie Ziggler have?
6:47
Oh, I'm sorry.
6:47
I don't know.
6:47
I think I had around like 12 or 13.
6:47
It's so funny because you work your whole life when you're younger for these crowns, and they're all just like these plastic tiaras that actually don't mean anything.
6:55
So it's really funny how much I cared about it when I was younger, but yeah, they're not important now, but at the time.
6:59
How old was Maddie Ziggler?
7:02
Oh my gosh, I'm sorry, in Chandelier.
7:06
I'm ruining this whole board.
7:08
I was 11 years old when I did Chandelier.
7:10
What's funny is when I was filming Chandelier, I remember I flew to LA and did it and had the best time, but when I came back to my dance studio, I told all my friends, just this little video that's going to come out, no one will see it.
7:22
I was like, I wore a blonde wig, like it was really different and weird at the time and I never expected it to blow up the way that it did.
7:29
This is so much easier than I thought it would be.
7:33
I thought, okay, Maddie Ziggler costumes.
7:38
I have lots of those.
7:38
My mom has kept almost all of our Dance Competition costumes and she has them in a closet, but I'm so happy.
7:47
I'm like, you can never get rid of them, like the important ones, especially because I want to be able to look back on them when I'm older and I don't know.
7:54
I want my kids to see them.
7:58
I don't know if I have a favorite.
7:59
There's so many to choose from.
8:01
A lot of my lyrical solos that I did were really beautiful costumes with a lot of rhinestones and I liked them a lot.
8:06
Maddie Ziggler, imagination palette.
8:09
Yeah, I was so excited to do a makeup collaboration.
8:14
Makeup is one of my absolute favorite things in the world, so getting to create my own palette, all of the shade names and the colors and the textures and just even the whole creative for the shoot was so much fun.
8:26
And I had such a great experience.
8:28
When I was creating the shade names, I think it was kind of a mixture of playing into the concept of the imagination palette and then also I think just a few personal names and things like I, I named a shade after my mom, after my sister, so stuff like that.
8:42
Maddie Ziggler, knee drop.
8:42
That was also a very I guess signature move that I used to do, which is so funny cuz if I did that now my knees would probably break.
8:51
Basically, you start on one leg and dive onto the other leg and you land on your knee, but the trick is to obviously protect your knee and to land more on the side of your hip.
9:00
Maddie Ziggler podcast.
9:04
I had a podcast with my sister called Take 20 for a bit and that was really fun.
9:09
We had a great time doing that.
9:09
And then I've had the pleasure of being on a few other people's podcasts.
9:18
They're so fun.
9:18
It's such a good way to have a conversation and dive into some topics that maybe you wouldn't on the everyday basis.
9:18
Maddie Ziggler, to all the boys.
9:18
Oh my gosh, this is hilarious.
9:18
I made a little cameo in one of the To All the Boys movies.
9:18
I think it was the second film, yeah, that I think I played a cheerleader.
9:18
I had like one line, but it was fun.
9:39
I love Lana Condor, I think she's so cute and sweet and super talented, and yeah, it was fun.
9:46
I actually can breathe now cuz I thought that was going to be way more stressful and I thought you guys were going to expose me in a lot of ways.
9:51
No, it's so interesting that a lot of people still want to know what like my favorite signature dance moves are and stuff like that.
9:58
I think it's really cool.
